The main tasks and activities of the SUE «O'zbektelefilm» are: 

- production of feature films and documentaries, popular science, landscape films and animation, videos and programs;

- replication, dubbing and selling of films, videos and programs;

- distribution of video and films;

- creation of films, videos and TV series dedicated to the process of democratic transformation in the socio-political and socio-economic life of the country, the rich historical, cultural and spiritual traditions of Uzbekistan;

- production of film, video products, aimed at increasing the educational and cultural levels of the population, preserving the national traditions, historical and spiritual heritage, forming democratic values ​​in the creation of citizens, educating the youth and younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, love for the country and respect for human values​​, protecting human rights and freedom;

- creation of the necessary institutional conditions for effective training, professional development of creative and technical personnel for the production of films and videos in order to improve their professional skills, enhance creative activities.
