The main tasks of the State Unitary Enterprise «Television and Radio Channel «Sport» are:

- organization of TV and radio broadcasting aimed to supporting and developing the physical culture and sport in Uzbekistan, the coverage of the most important sports events in the country and abroad, the achievements of sportsmen of the Republic, the preparation of television and radio programs, dedicated to promote a healthy lifestyle, mass development of child and family sports, active and socially useful forms of leisure activities, taking into account the needs of all social groups, revival and development of traditional sports and folk games;

- retranslation of the best programs of foreign broadcasters, including those devoted to the history of world sports, the Olympic movement, and the activities of international sports organizations;

- organizing of live broadcasting of major national and international sports events.
