Radio of the Jizzakh region for the first time has left an ether in 1974.
Daily there were announcements from 16.00 till 17.00 on ultra short waves (later on middle short waves) in 5 languages: Uzbek, Russian, Crimean-Tatar, Kazakh and Tadjik.
For the first, on August, 8, 1996 regional TV started display the programs common volume of week display has made 1 hour. In preparation of these programs have been used by TV and Radio equipments of Japanese firm " SONY ".
Till 2000 TV programs were broadcasted on Samarkand RTTS it have been allowed to see on the Jizzakh region, Sir-Darya, Navoi and the Tashkent regions frontier the population of next republics Kazakhstan and Tadjikistan had an opportunity to look programs as well sow day.
After 2000, problems of installation of the radio relay line equipments connecting with transfer of programs was solved.
It is put on promotional activity, it has given to increase volume of TV programs to 1,5 hour that has allowed to 7,5 hours in a week.
In October has started working radio "Sangzor" in total amount of 9 hours per day (8 hours at own expense.) It was the first broadcasting company among areas transmitting of programs on channel FM.
Regional radio has kept an exit one hour in volume of ultra short waves.
In 2004 in assistance of the Jizzakh Government was organized sound recording studio "Sangzor". The sound recording studio has been completed with modern audio equipments and computer complexes. It has enabled all art workers to write down the music and songs under the modern requirement. Nowadays regional TV has 4 departments: informational, political legislative, economic socially, spiritually educational and promotional. Over 30 experts work there.
